Mrs. Shelden hosted a 5th grade “Night Views” event, and these pictures just don’t do it justice! Students and their families were able to observe Saturn, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, the Orion Nebula! In the photo that shows the bright dot over the basketball hoop, that was the International Space Station flying by while we were out there! We were mesmerized by Mrs. Shelden explaining the Orion Nebula and how this star forming region is 1500 light years away, so we were seeing it as it was 1500 years ago! A huge thank you to her volunteers and the 5th grade team for all coming out to support this event!

Thank you for your support!

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to watch our Orff performance of The Lion Inside last night. And a huge thank you to everyone who donated time or materials to make this a reality.

Today and tomorrow! Drop off your student’s clean/stain-free, gently-used uniform items or grab some for next year!
Tables are organized by size and separated by boys and girls styles.
*Please note that denim, sweatpants, and athletic shorts/pants are not considered uniform items.

The South Lake FIRST LEGO League Team would like to invite any interested future 4th, 5th and 6th graders to join us this summer. We will be meeting every other Sunday from 1pm-4pm to practice our LEGO building and CODING skills.
FIRST® LEGO® League introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences as today’s students and educators build a better future together. FIRST LEGO League helps students explore and apply their critical thinking and design skills and build habits of learning and teamwork through a guided, global robotics program.
If you would like more info about attending, please contact the coach at david.j.winfield@gmail.com

A huge shout out to our PTO board for hosting a very successful movie night last Friday! We had an excellent turnout and right when the movie ended, a rocket launch happened so it was perfect timing! The weather was beautiful, and it made living on the Space Coast appreciated!
